To celebrate (read: promote) the 24th July release of The Dark Knight, Panasonic Toyota Racing will be adopting a new look at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone this weekend.

We understand that not only will the cars be sporting bat-related artwork but Jarno Trulli will be driving in specially a designed batsuit incorporating technologically advanced bat-ears which have been aerodynamically tested to improve driving ability. Timo Glock will be racing the Batpod.

Most of this, if not all of is a lie.

It reminds us of when HP Foods sponsored the brown ball at the Masters snooker tournemant and Jimmy White announced that he had changed his name by deed poll to James Brown. That was also later proven not to be true.

Watch the F1 this weekend to find out.
